Aguanno Featured in Certification Panel Closing Out ProjectWorld Toronto 2010

Agile PM Kevin Aguanno to be featured in a panel of PM certification experts closing out the ProjectWorld conference in Toronto on May 18, 2010.

Toronto, ON (AgilePM.com) 15 March 2010 -- ProjectWorld has always looked for ways of bringing together the best minds on various PM-related topics in discussion panels to debate issues and address audience questions. These popular features of the annual conference have sometimes addressed controversial issues. None could be moreso than a special panel of experts to close out the 2010 Toronto ProjectWorld conference addressing the topic of whether there is still value to be had from project management certifications, such as the PMP.

In this sure-to-be-lively debate, noted experts such as project governance expert Ken Hanley and PM certification expert Kevin Aguanno will take the stage along with Alain Arseneault, a PMO representative from industry, and Ori Schibi, a representative of the new certification programme of the IIBA. The panel will be chaired by Cathy Rayner of Sears Canada. Expect heated discussions on the shortcomings of existing certification programmes (such as PMI's PMP and PgMP), what value (if any) can be gained from them, and what alternatives are being sought by business.
